James Gilmore
Client Service Manager
James Gilmore joined Velocity as a Client Service Manager in June of 2019. James began his career in marketing and sales in collegiate athletics. Initially responsible for identifying, measuring and tracking KPIs across seven departments, James eventually became Director of Sales and lead a team of ten before joining Navigate Research, a boutique research and consulting firm based in Chicago. As a consultant, James led engagements for sponsorship and multi-media rights valuations, strategic planning, market research and property sales for universities across the country. He left Navigate in 2018 to move out to California and work as an independent consultant helping universities build impactful strategic partnerships with commercial entities.
A native Floridian, James currently splits time between southern California and southeast Florida. He attended the University of Central Florida for both his Bachelor’s in business and his Master’s in Business Administration. James loves sports, audio books, riding his bike along the PCH while dabbling in podcasts and getting lost in a foreign city.
